UM monoblock is a switchgear with SF6 gas insulation designed for distribution of electric energy in 6-20 kV networks with isolated neutral

Design

The UM monoblock is equipped with a hermetically sealed stainless steel tank, inside which are placed from 1 to 4 built-in functional blocks with busbars and switching devices. The tank is filled in with SF6 gas under excess pressure. This design provides the highest level of reliability (up to 30 years of continuous operation) and staff safety.

On top, behind front panel, there is a LV compartment with a system of actuators for each of functional blocks. The front panel is equipped with control devices, indicators, relay protection units and signaling of the operating modes of the monoblock.

The UM monoblock can be equipped with a protection relay suitable for the required set of protections. It is possible to have a modification without operational current by using self-powered protection relays.

To connect cables, the UM switchgear is equipped with special bushing insulators, inside of which there is a conductor cast into a dielectric compound. Additionally, in the compound there is a capacitive divider, which transmits signals to the voltage indicator.

The UM switchgear product line provides the following monoblock configurations:

NE – not expandable (2-4 functions in free configuration);

RE – expandable to the right (1-4 functions in free configuration);

LE – expandable to the left (1-4 functions in free configuration);

DE – expandable to both sides (1-4 functions in free configuration);
