The built-in transformer substation ISET is designed to receive, convert and distribute electric power for consumers of 0.4 or 0.69 kV.

The main elements of a built-in transformer substation are the following:

• HV switchgear

The HV switchgear can be based on UM or RME SF6 gas-insulated monoblock units. These monoblocks can include up to 4 integrated functional blocks in one common tank filled with SF6 gas. The tank is hermetically sealed and designed for 30 years of continuous operation. In case when it is necessary to provide transit of power the Ultima switchgear can be used.

• Power transformers.

For voltage conversion in the built-in transformer substations it is possible to use IDR-T dry-type power transformers with vacuum cast epoxy resin insulation or with open windings (VPI) insulated with fiber glass fabric impregnated in vacuum with a special varnish.

Similar to cast resin insulation, VPI insulation also does not support burning and is resistant to harsh environments.

Oil transformers of various manufacturers can also be used in accordance with the customer’s request.

• LV switchgear

Depending on the requirements and necessary functionality, the built-in transformer substations can be equipped with LV boards with circuit breakers, fuses or load break switches and other components of high quality of Russian and foreign vendors.

• HV and LV power connections

The electrical connections of the 6…20 kV equipment of the built-in transformer substation is done by cables of appropriate cross-section. Every such power bridge is terminated by a cable coupling.

LV switchgear is connected to power transformer either by cable or by busbar (a tightly compressed package of insulated busbars enclosed in a housing).

Depending on the design and requirements, a busbar system can contain up to five current-carrying conductors.

All supplied equipment used in buil-in transformer substation ISET is of individual design. Assembly is performed at our own production site in Ekaterinburg.

At the customer's request, the delivery package of the built-in transformer substation ISET can include lighting and heating control equipment, measurement and metering systems, signaling and remote control.

After manufacturing, all equipment of the built-in transformer substation ISET undergoes control assembly. This stage eliminates the possibility of errors and allows to reduce the installation time on the site.
